Elise, an early career Speech Pathologist at Small TALK, completed her Bachelor of Speech Pathology (Honours) from the University of Newcastle. Elise currently has a special interest in working with toddlers and young children with language delays. As a mother of two school-aged boys, Elise brings a personal understanding of the challenges and joys of parenting, equipping her with valuable insights into the practical application of strategies to support communication development in everyday contexts.
Motivated by a desire to help and make a meaningful impact, Elise’s approach is person-centered and play-based. She focuses on creating functional, collaborative goals with children and their families, ensuring each session is both enjoyable and engaging. Her commitment to learning and adapting her therapeutic approach is deeply rooted in a desire to understand and meet the diverse needs of her clients.
Elise’s approach to continuous learning involves staying current with the latest developments in speech pathology through journal articles, social media, and personal development courses. Outside of work, Elise enjoys spending quality time with her family, taking long walks with her dog, and engaging in photography.
