My child has trouble listening

“It’s like it goes in one ear and out the other”

“My child has trouble remembering and following instructions”

“My child just doesn’t ‘get’ the meaning of some words such as before and after“

Some children have difficulty with receptive language. Receptive language is different to hearing. Children with receptive language difficulties can often hear perfectly but have trouble understanding the meaning of some words or processing what they have heard. Some children misinterpret what others have said and therefore become confused.

Our team of speech pathologists can help your child develop an understanding of these concept words so they can better understand the instructions of their parents and teachers.
